Installation Instructions
1. Make sure to quit out of any host image editing application such as Photoshop, Lightroom, or Aperture.
2. Locate the downloaded installation file and double-click on it to begin.
3. The installer will automatically attempt to locate the appropriate installation location, as well as the installed host applications. It is recommended that you leave the default options provided in the installer. In case no host applications are found, please try quitting and restarting the installer.
4. After the installer has completed, your software will be available within the available host image editing applications. For previous owners of the Nik Software products, your Product Keys will no longer be required to access the software.
Note: If you are installing the Nik Collection over previous versions of the software, it is recommended to first export your custom and imported Presets and Recipes from Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2, and HDR Efex Pro 2.
For information on how to install on either a Mac or a PC, please watch the videos below: (staat daar)
Photoshop
To access the plug-ins in Photoshop, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Filters > Nik Collection
2. Select the plug-in to be applied to the image
To open HDR Efex Pro 2, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to File > Automate
2. Select Merge to HDR Efex Pro 2
3. Click Select to open a file browser to select the desired images to be merged into an HDR image and click OK
Photoshop also offers a separate window for easy access to the plug-ins. This is called the Selective Tool, and it automatically opens when Photoshop opens. If you would like to change this setting so that it does not automatically open, click on the Settings button in the lower left corner of the window. If you close the Selective Tool and then wish to reopen it, navigate to File > Automate > Nik Collection Selective Tool.
